• Coordinates field course and field research logistics
• Purchases materials and equipment for department projects or field trips
• Fabricates equipment using various materials
• EH&S contact
• Oversees the safety and lab training for all members of the department
• Coordinates annual inspections by the various campus departments for safety
• Handles vehicle reservations and pick ups
• Supervises the lab mechanician
