Research:
Recent research was focused on Antarctic climate evolution. This included collaboration with Dr. Doug Wilson on computing restored bedrock topography in West and East Antarctica. Both of us participated in the revised BEDMAP2 Antarctic topographic model released in 2013. Further work estimated ice growth on this bedrock topography in the Eocene-Oligocene. This research was published in 2013. I am one of the early proponents for the ANDRILL Coulman High drilling project that sought to recover Oligocene and older stratigraphic records from the central Ross Sea.
