Directions: From the east end of Barstow, proceed 4.5 miles eastward
on I-15 toward Las Vegas to Fort Irwin Road, exit and proceed north 6.1 miles
to a point where the leveling line crosses the highway.
Comments: This line was established to determine if folding is presently
occurring across an WNW-trending anticline developed in Quaternary alluvium
that lies above an isolated and robust cluster of earthquakes related to,
and at the northmost end of the 28 June 1992 Landers earthquake sequence.
Results: No significant height changes or tilt have been identified
among the three surveys.
