Directions: From the intersection of highways I-15 and I-40 at Barstow, proceed 18 miles east southeast on I-40 to Newberry Springs. Exit on at Newberry Springs and proceed 3 miles east on National Trails Highway to a road than extends south to the Newberry Springs dump. Follow that road about 2 miles south to a point where the road bears southwest and west to the dump. The array straddles a well-defined, but old, fault scarp having a well-developed surf ace of desert pavement on the uplifted west block.

Comments: This array was established across the Calico fault following the 28 June 1992 Landers earthquake sequence to monitor horizontal strain.
