Professor Toshiro Tanimoto was honored as a newly elected AGU Fellow at the 2012 Fall Meeting of American Geophysical Union. Toshiro's selection came in recognition of his fundamental contributions to seismology that have deepened our understanding of mantle dynamics and solid-fluid Earth interactions.

Erin's talk is entitled "Investigating the Seismic Nucleation Phase of Large Earthquakes Using Teleseismic Data," David's talk is entitled "Tectonic Geomorphology of the Gaviota Coast" and Eric's talk is entitled "Variation in Indian summer monsoon intensity during the penultimate interglacial."
