Dr. James Kennett, emeriti professor at UCSB Earth Science, will give tonight's talk for the Coast Geological Society in Ventura.  His talk is entitled The Younger Dryas Cosmic Impact Cataclysm 12,800 years ago: Extinction of Ice Age Giants, Human Culture Disruption and Abrupt Climate Change.  Dinner is served at 7:00 PM and the talk is at 8:00 PM and the location is at the Poinsettia Pavillion at 3451 Foothill Road in Ventura.  You are asked to arrive at 6:30 PM.
