Congratulations to Bruce Luyendyk on being named an AAAS Fellow! This recognition is testament to Bruce's myriad contributions to our field over the course of his illustrious career.

Ben Byerly and a team of researchers has been featured in the UCSB Current, at the news website Edhat and in the journal Geology for their discovery of crystals that formed earlier than 4 billion years ago in the Barberton Mountains of South Africa.

UCSB has been ranked number 5 by US New & World Report in their 2019 list of public universites.
