Applications are invited for possible temporary Lecturer appointments (part-time) during the 2017-18 academic year in the following areas: Earth Systems, Biogeology, Geochemistry, Geology, Geophysics and Paleobiology.
Applicants must possess an M.S. or Ph.D. in Earth Science and be prepared to teach introductory courses, have an emphasis in one or more of the substantive areas above, and have at least one year of teaching experience. Applications will be kept active for consideration for all appropriate vacancies within the department for one year. Applicants must submit a new letter each academic year to retain eligibility. Deadline to apply is October 31, 2017.
Terms and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and any appropriate collective bargaining agreement. Appointments will be made on a quarter-to-quarter basis. Reappointment for subsequent quarters is dependent on performance and departmental needs. Salary is dependent on qualifications. Positions are open until filled.
