Graduate Students Elizabeth Erickson and Julie Zurbuchen Awarded Prestigious NSF Fellowships

Since 1952, over 500,000 hopefuls have applied to the National Science Foundation's Graduate Research Fellowship Program—a prestigious program designed to recognize and support outstanding graduate students. This year's competition brought immense pride to to the Department with Elizabeth Erickson earning one of only 9 fellowships awarded in Paleoclimate research, and  Julie Zurbuchen earning one of only 5 fellowships awarded in Sedimentary Geology. These fellowships will empower Elizabeth and Julie to focus on their research, with monthly stipends and and fee payments for the next three years. Congratulations!
