  Prep lab with fume hood, storage areas and sieving facilities for recovering fruits and seeds from unconsolidated sediment.
  Nikon SMZ 10 dissecting microscope with drawing tube and photographic capabilities
  Nikon Optiphot compound microscope with full lenses and photographic capabilities.
  Access to departmental digital/optical recording and manipulation facilities
  Access to JOEL JSM-6300V digital scanning electron microscope
  Access to the University of California Museum of Paleontology Paleobotanical Collections and to the herbarium of the University of California.
  We also have working relations with the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden and Lotusland Botanic Garden that allow access to their living collections of native and exotic taxa respectively.
