A trestle consists of a series of upright "bents" which are tied together and support the "stringers" which, in turn, support the track. This is a bent that I made from pallett wood, which a friend cut into proper-sized slices for me. I have glued wood pieces together with Elmer's outdoor glue and then later nailed them with brads.
