I need to open the gate now and then, so any trackwork in front of it has to be removable. My interim solution is a PVC pipe trestle which, to be sure, doesn't look very prototypical. It is broken into two sections that can be picked up easily and stored out of the way. Eventually I may build a more prototypical wooden trestle. The trackwork will continue to the left on a permanent post and spline arrangement.
