Day Ten, from Mile 194 Canyon to Mile 222 Canyon. I was with Kenton Grua in "Emerald Mile." This was a relax day, although rapids 205 and 217 were notable. Kenton had us float through Three Spring (2) Rapid in our life jackets, and I thought we should have floated through one of the rapids on the first day to learn how to go through a rapid if we should get flipped out of a boat. Lunch was at Granite Park at Mile 208.5. Camp was at Mile 222 on a beach facing Diamond Peak downstream. Eric James and I hiked up 222 Mile Canyon to see the Hurricane fault. We saw two pink rattlesnakes at each of the two springs on the fault. Sweet and sour chicken on rice for dinner.
