Holiday Party a Hit |
|
| This fall Wendy Gall started as the
department Macintosh Computer Manager after Yann Ricard moved on. Wendy's
diverse background makes her a valuable addition to the department's support
staff. Wendy received her degree in Geography from UCSB. As a student, she specialized in Ocean Sciences and even attended several classes offered by the Geological Sciences department. Wendy spent several years working in the Commercial and Sport Fishing industries indulging her interest in Ocean Studies. Wendy is no stranger to Geological Sciences. In 1995 she first worked for the department as Yann's Student Assistant. Later she worked for the UCSB Department of Environmental Health and Safety as a Computer Resource Specialist. In 1998 Wendy left UCSB to become Technology Coordinator at Hope Elementary School where her duties included K-6 student instruction, staff development, technology planning, and network management. Wendy has lived in Santa Barbara since 1971, which almost makes her a native. In addition to helping with your computer needs, she might let you in on some of the "locals only" secrets. Stop in and say "hi" to our newest staff member. |
